Quality Control Technician

MDP is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Quality Control / Porter / Detailer to join our growing team.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring every vehicle is properly inspected, road-tested, cleaned, and ready for delivery to our customers. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a strong eye for detail, and understands the importance of vehicle safety, presentation, and customer satisfaction.

This role is well-suited for individuals with experience as a:

  • Automotive Detailer
  • Lube Technician
  • Tire Technician
  • Auto Porter
  • Automotive Student
  • Entry-Level Technician

For the right candidate, this position can provide a pathway toward future apprenticeship and technician opportunities within MDP.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control

  • Perform final inspections on completed repairs and maintenance services
  • Conduct road tests to verify vehicle operation and repair quality
  • Check for warning lights, fluid leaks, unusual noises, and drivability concerns
  • Verify repair orders have been completed accurately
  • Ensure vehicles meet MDP's quality standards before delivery

Porter Duties

  • Safely move customer vehicles throughout the facility
  • Coordinate vehicle staging and parking
  • Assist technicians and service advisors as required
  • Maintain a clean and organized lot and shop environment

Vehicle Detailing

  • Wash, vacuum, and prepare customer vehicles for delivery
  • Ensure vehicles are clean and professionally presented
  • Perform final appearance inspections before customer pickup

Requirements

Mandatory

  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent driving record with a clean abstract
  • Comfortable driving a wide variety of vehicles
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Professional attitude and appearance

Preferred

  • Previous automotive experience
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and inspections
  • Experience detailing vehicles
